Food Processing Day
Two paper grocery bags full of squash, 35 ears of corn, 1/2 a grocery bag full of snaps. Washed, shucked, chopped, blanched, bagged and frozen. Gardens finally coming in. Tomatoes are still kind of slow. Gotta half a grocery bag full of cukes too. Along with dressing, feeding, cleaning and watching two grandkids, three loads of wash, one load of dishes. some people think I don't work for a living. Imagine that. Peace

4th Fireworks
Well actually July 2nd, but you get the idea. Great show at Freedomfest in Powhatan. Jason Crabb (sp?) was fantastic. Had never even heard of him until the last Dove awards where he sang "Sometimes". Great Christian concert, and Fireworks for free. Can't complain about that. I also was home 10 mins later. :) Little man was alarmed when the first fireworks went off but quickly put his hands over his ears and just sat and watched the fireworks. Other than that he really didn't seem to have an opinion one way or the other. He enjoyed running around and playing with his cousins and friends. A lot has happened since last post. I really thought I was going to be writing more but some days it's just one more thing that I need to do. Grandparents raising grandkids. Now there is a subject that I could write volumes on but, If you aren't someone in that situation, you couldn't relate. Maybe it's just Old Age raising young children that's the issue. Who knows? Miss Dandylion is spending the weekend with her aunt and cousins. Still not used to her not being here at night. it's good that she is getting independant some. Well Happy 4th everyone. Remember our service personnel in your prayers. Peace
