Beach Bound
Taking her highness, and little one to the beach this weekend. Been running around like a chicken with his head cut off trying to get everything ready so we can leave tomorrow night after the better half gets off of work. I'll be so stressed out by then I'll certainly be ready for a blanket and the ocean sounds. This will be little ones first beach trip so it will be a blast. Her Highness and my self will be testing for yellow belt a week from tomorrow. Real stoked about that. I'm surprised I've lasted this long at my age and physical condition. I've noticed that I've actually started to feel a little better since I've started at Martial Arts World. Oh don't get me wrong. There are days I have to drag myself out of bed. All my joints hurt in the mornings, but once I stretch out, I'm better. Fibromyalgia and Coronary Artery Disease. My enemies. I've decided to fight with everything I have. Loosing is not an option. Peace everyone!

Finally found it!
I knew eventually I would find something that motivated me to overcome this writers block i seem to be faced with. Today's headlines on Fox: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/06/08/soldiers-returning-from-iraq-say-delta-charged-hundreds-dollars-in-baggage-fees It seems that Delta Airlines has a policy of allowing traveling service personnel to check in 3 bags free of charge while traveling on orders. Normally I would give cudo's to Delta for their policy but alas that is not to be. It appears that some overpaid ticket clerk decided that the 34 soldiers returning from risking their lives for our country would have to pay for the extra bag they were carrying. The soldiers were traveling on orders which stated that they could check in up to 4 bags free of charge. Two of the soldiers posted a video of the incident on Utube but has since been taken off. No doubt under orders of their commanders. Many of the soldiers did not have the extra funds to pay the fee. A Lt. Col traveling with them put up the money after the Airlines would not waive the fee. I think that Delta's actions are deplorable. As a general rule I don't fly but in the event I have to, guess what airlines I will not be flying. As to the troops involved, God Bless you for your sacrifice and humble apologies for your welcome home. My grandchildren refer to you as heroes.

Emotions and associated facial expressions 101
Had a thirty minute class this morning with little one concerning facial expressions and associated emotions. This all came about after I was approached by said little one who stated "I'm so happy.", while sporting the worst frown I have ever seen. So after thirty minutes of repeated "I'm so happy's" and silly grins, and "I'm so sad's" with overly animated frowns, (by this time my facial muscles are sore) seeing the last frown on my face he pats me on the knee and says "that's okay papa, I kiss". Life is good! On a another note. 7 quarts of Navy Beans to add to my pantry, along with a pot of Navy Beans to eat.

Sense of Accomplishment
Little one is napping, five qts. of ham chunks cooling down in the pressure canner, navy beans soaking, dishwasher run, wash going. Can you say domesticated? OK, so why does this place still look like a tornado hit it? On a lighter note. Little man's new favorite saying is "I'm so Sad". Along with the most pitiful look a 2 yr. old can muster. I realize laughter is not the associated response to such a statement but hey, I'm human.
